This University of Georgia photo is an typical example of azalea lace bug damage. Each year I see two or three beautiful Cherokee County azalea plantings devastated by this insect. Master Gardeners should recognize it.

Is this what Wayne had on the leaves that he brought to the CCMGA meeting? Guess I better check the azaleas in the morning.
Yes, because there can be a couple of generations per year they can get to be large numbers.If unchecked for a couple of years they will greatly weaken a plant.
